Hakkında
Prof. Dr. Özcan Çakmak, Kulak Burun Boğaz ve Baş-Boyun Cerrahisi ile Ağız, Yüz ve Çene Cerrahisi uzmanı olup, Avrupa ve Uluslararası Yüz Plastik Cerrahisi Kurulları tarafından sertifikalandırılmıştır.
Yirmi yılı aşkın süredir yaşlanan yüzün cerrahi gençleştirilmesine odaklanan Prof. Dr. Çakmak'ın cerrahi pratiği tamamen yüz gençleştirme ameliyatlarıyla sınırlıdır. Başlıca uzmanlık alanları arasında derin plan yüz germe, boyun germe, derin boyun konturlama, alın ve kaş kaldırma, üst dudak kaldırma, göz kapağı estetiği ve yağ enjeksiyonu yer almaktadır. Her hastanın anatomik özellikleri ve estetik beklentileri doğrultusunda kişiselleştirilmiş tedavi planları oluşturulmaktadır.
Prof. Dr. Çakmak, özellikle derin plan yüz germe ameliyatının genişletilmiş boyun diseksiyonu ve derin boyun konturlama işlemleriyle kombine edilmesi konusunda uzmanlaşmıştır. Bu ileri düzey yaklaşım, yüz ve boyundaki hem yüzeyel hem de derin anatomik yapıların ele alınmasını sağlayarak doğal, dengeli ve uzun süreli gençleştirme sonuçları elde edilmesine olanak tanımaktadır.
Akademik çalışmaları ağırlıklı olarak derin plan yüz germe cerrahisi, derin boyun konturlama, yüz gençleştirme teknikleri ve cerrahi anatomi üzerine yoğunlaşmıştır. Uluslararası saygın dergilerde yayımlanmış çok sayıda bilimsel çalışması bulunmakta olup, yayınları bilimsel literatürde geniş ölçüde atıf almakta ve modern yüz gençleştirme cerrahisinin gelişimine katkı sağlamaktadır.
Prof. Dr. Çakmak, Avrupa Yüz Plastik Cerrahisi Akademisi'nin (EAFPS) Yaşlanan Yüzün Cerrahi Gençleştirilmesi Çalışma Grubu Başkanlığı görevini sekiz yıl boyunca yürütmüştür. Ayrıca uluslararası bilimsel toplantılarda davetli konuşmacı, panelist, canlı cerrahi eğitmeni ve toplantı direktörü olarak görev almakta; bilgi ve deneyimlerini dünyanın farklı bölgelerinden meslektaşlarıyla paylaşmayı sürdürmektedir.
